Larry & Vivian’s Summer Wedding at Redwood Canyon

February 19, 2026

After documenting Larry and Vivian’s beautiful destination proposal at Lake Tahoe, it felt incredibly full circle to capture their summer wedding one year later. There is something so meaningful about witnessing both the beginning of a season and the moment it blossoms into something even greater. From the surprise proposal to their wedding day, their story has always felt intentional and deeply personal. When they reached out to have me document their wedding after trusting me with such a pivotal moment the year before, it truly meant the world. Being invited back into a couple’s life for another milestone is something I never take for granted.

Fun, Thoughtful Moments

Their wedding day reflected who they are in the most authentic way: joyful, thoughtful, and community-centered. The celebration was filled with intentional touches that felt both playful and meaningful. In the middle of the day, they snuck away for In-N-Out, carving out a moment for themselves amidst the excitement. It was relaxed, fun, and perfectly aligned with their personalities. Later, they surprised their guests with a lineup of unforgettable treats: a churro truck from Churros El Guero, a boba bar by Boba Passion, and bao buns from Bun Me Up. Each surprise added another layer of delight to the evening and created an atmosphere that felt less like a formal event and more like an experience designed with their favorite people in mind.

Emotional Highlights

One of the most emotional moments of the day was watching Larry as Vivian walked down the aisle. His eyes immediately filled with tears, not in a dramatic way, but in a quiet, deeply sincere way that said everything. It’s moments like that which remind me why I love what I do. The ceremony carried a sense of calm and intention, and as they stood together, you could feel the weight and beauty of the commitment they were making. Later, heartfelt speeches from parents and friends added even more depth to the celebration. Each toast was filled with shared memories, gratitude, and genuine love. As the evening continued, golden summer light wrapped around everything so perfectly, creating a warm glow that felt almost symbolic of the joy surrounding them.

Surrounded by Community

What stood out just as much as the details and décor was the incredible community behind them. From their badminton club to the volleyball community, Larry and Vivian are surrounded by people who truly show up for them. You could feel it in the way their friends cheered, the way guests lingered in conversation, and the way everyone gathered closely throughout the day. Their wedding wasn’t just about two individuals; it was about the friendships, support systems, and shared experiences that shaped them into who they are. The love extended far beyond the couple and radiated throughout the entire celebration.

A Day to Remember

Hosted at Wedgewood Weddings Redwood Canyon, their summer wedding was rooted in joy, community, and intention. From documenting their Lake Tahoe proposal to capturing this next chapter a year later, walking alongside their story has been such a gift. Larry and Vivian trusted me with both the surprise that began it all and the day they officially became husband and wife. It’s an honor I’ll always be grateful for, and a wedding I won’t soon forget.
